Chicken Shawarma



Awesome Lebanese & Syrian sandwich served in most restaurants.

Ingredients :

(for 4 Servings)

2  boneless, skinless chicken breasts (thinly cut)
1  Yellow Onion (thinly cut) Divided on 2
2  TBS Olive Oil
2   Garlic Cloves 
4   Pita Bread or Tortillas
1  Teaspoon Shawarma Spice:

1 Teaspoon ground Cumin
1 Teaspoon Ground Coriander
1 Teaspoon Garlic Powder
1 Teaspoon Turmeric
1 Teaspoon Ginger
1/2 Teaspoon Paprika 
1/2 Teaspoon Ground Gloves
1/2 Teaspoon  black Pepper
1/2 Teaspoon  Cinnamon 
1/2 Teaspoon  Salt

1 Cup Plain Yogurt
1 Tomato ( thinly Cut )
kosher spears Chopped
Shredded lettuce Leaves 
Salt & Pepper to Taste 

Steps:

1- Grind the 2 Cloves of Garlic in the Yogurt add Salt and Pepper and set aside.

2-On Medium Heat poor Olive Oil onto Skillet add chicken and the 1/2 quantity of the Onion and Teas Spoon of the Shawarma Spice ..   keep Stir  & Cook for 20 min or Until the Chicken is Cooked.

3- in a Warmed Tortilla put a layer of the (Yogurt and Garlic Mix) then a layer of lettuce and Chicken then add some onion and tomato and the Kosher Spears .

P.S you can keep the shawarma Spice in spice jar well closed so you can use it again.
